Project Managers Position
NYC based environmental consulting firm has an immediate opening for a Project Manager with minimum 5 years experience in asbestos survey, design and abatement . Candidate must possess a NYC Asbestos Investigator, NYSDOL Inspector, Designer, Management Planner licenses. In addition, USEPPA lead inspector/risk assessor license with experience in lead inspections and lead wipe sampling. A valid driver`s license is required. B.S. in Environmental Science or closely related degree is required. Experience with NYCT and NYCSCA is required.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
• Direct/coordinate Asbestos Inspections and daily work of Inspectors & Air Monitoring Technicians
• Direct/coordinate Lead Based Paint (LBP) Inspections, Risk Assessments, Clearances and daily work of LBP Inspectors
• Perform Asbestos and LBP Inspections
• Prepare Asbestos Survey/Inspection Reports
• Prepare LBP Inspection, Risk Assessment, & Clearance Reports
• Prepare Project Designs for Asbestos Abatement
• Develop Abatement Bid Plans & Specifications and solicit Subcontractor Bids
• Interface with Clients and develop cost estimates for Asbestos and LBP Services
Project Monitor/ Investigator Position
NYC based environmental consulting firm has an immediate need for Asbestos Project Monitors and SSPC certified lead inspectors responsible for performing surveys, project monitoring, and construction monitoring of environmental and building system abatement projects relating to asbestos, lead paint and other hazardous materials. Ideal candidate must possess a BS in Environmental Degree or Industrial Hygiene, NYSDOL Project Monitor, Inspector, and NYC investigators licenses. Should have at least 2 years industrial hygiene experience in the consulting or direct client sector and should have specific experience with building systems and/or construction is preferred.
